Roy & I waited in the room where they take the referral photos. Roy took a picture of me with the bear that was next to both Chelsea and Brody in their referral pictures.
After Chelsea's check-up, her foster mother handed her to me & then gave us beautiful gifts. One of them is a clock for Chelsea's room that she made herself. After saying our goodbyes, it was time to hop in the taxi & begin life as a family of four. The only thing missing from this day was Brody. Fortunately, he doesn't seem to be missing us as much as we miss him thanks to Aunt Annette & the red/green light saber she bought for him yesterday!!
It was pretty much nap time when we got back to the hotel & it didn't take much for her to fall asleep - just mommy, thumb & blankie (not necessarily in that order!).
When she woke up she realized that her foster mother wasn't here & cried for a solid 45 minutes. It was so sad. Finally, I opened a container of Gerber puffs & they saved the day!!
After the puffs, she had a bottle & then we played a bit...
...then we went for a walk...but it started to rain...
...so it was time to go back to sleep :)
She'll probably be waking up soon for another bottle, so I'm going to post this before I lose my window of opportunity! If we have time we'll post some more pictures tonight. If we don't, then you'll just have to settle for seeing her in person when we get home!!
Can't wait to see all of you & thank you for following us on this amazing journey to Chelsea.

Chelsea is so beautiful. And she looks so peaceful when she sleeps. We are so happy for you all. Looking forward to stopping by very soon to meet her.
I checked the blog immediately when I woke up to make sure there were pictures. She is so beautiful and looks so happy. We can't wait for you to get home, only 29 hours. Wishing you a safe and uneventful trip home. Love, Jana
CONGRATULATIONS! Have a safe journey home! She is adorable! Love the sleeping photos!
I am so happy for you!!!! She is just beautiful. Looks like she settled in pretty quickly. I can't believe I have to wait till Monday to see her. Have a safe journey home.
Ok, so I'm already in love and I haven't even met her yet!! I'm so sorry we missed the midnight call. I was so tired I thought I was dreaming until I checked the caller id in the middle of the night. I'm glad we got to talk earlier though and I can't wait to see you tomorrow. Have a safe flight home.

Ok, so I'm sitting here crying, of course. I've been checking this like a stalker since last night hoping to see her beautiful face, and this morning I got the most wonderful morning greeting from my new niece!! She is just so sweet, and I'm sure that you didn't look away from her for most of her nap, what an angelface!!! We can't wait to be able to hug & kiss her... 'Baby' Kevin is still running around calling for her and the airplanes. Have a great trip home, & we'll see you tomorrow!!
Love Aunt Mel, Uncle Kevin & 'Baby' kevin
